CSS

I found these sources to be a lifesaver when trying to learn CSS! Click on the links below to get a comprehensive list of CSS properties; a beginner's tutorial on applying CSS, selectors, properties, and values, colors, text, margins and padding, borders, (and more!); and an extremely helpful crash course video for absolute beginners!

Color & Design Issues

Adobe's Color Wheel is SO useful when trying to not only get color codes but to also find hues of complimentary colors that you can use to steer away from a visual-clashing site (or "sight." Get it? Hahah). On the other hand, I recommend everyone who is trying to make their own website to read Christine Austin's article on web design tips. Her tips are extremely helpful in seeing the bigger picture and audience of your website and give examples about potential webpage layouts. In fact, I'd actually recommend any website creater to read this article. Rookie and experienced website creators alike will benefit from the quick read:

Images & Photography

Looking for beautiful images to spice up your website? Well, look no further! StockSnap, Burst, and CreativeCommons are wonderful image sources that are royalty-free for personal and commercial use and update on the daily. Not all of CreativeCommons' images need attribution while StockSnap and Burst's images don't even need attribution at all (although they highly encourage it)!
